DECIPHERING TEACHERS THEY REALLY MEAN TO SAY

TEACHER.S DAY SPECIAL

1 Attendance is compulsory

and will be

counted in your grade:

Don’t you dare bunk my

class!

2  I will answer this

question after class:

Why are children so curious?

3  If you don’t submit

assignments, you’ll

have to study the rest of

the chapters on your

own: Thank god!

4  Scoring in history is

as

important

as

scoring

in the

sports class:

My subject

is as important

as

anybody

else’s!

5  Open your

textbook

and read chapter six,

there’s a surprise test

next week: I need a

breather! These children

are a handful.

6    I know what you call

me behind my back!:

Aaarggh! It is so

frustrating to not

know.

7  Don’t compare your

scores with others:

There’s a lot of time left for

you to do that when you’re

older. Sigh!

8  Don’t blame the question

papers.

Everything was from the

syllabus: When will they

start reading these textbooks

I keep talking about!

9   Don’t argue with me:

Really, how does this

child know so much?!

10    The finals will cover

the entire syllabus: I

couldn’t finish teaching the

entire syllabus in 15 weeks.

But you have to know it and

finish it in three hours.
